Protraying Members of Historia Californio
As the Southern California Volunteer I have participate as an independent person in various events outside the Western
Educators, Shooters & Troopers organization. The main focus have been on the political personnel from the
Californio Mexican era. The events have been held at the Rancho Dominguez Adobe in Rancho Dominguez, and
the Juan M. Sanchez Adobe in Montebello.

When performing at events covering the Californio Mexican era, I portray Juan B. Alvarado, California
governor; Manuel Dominguez, Rancho Dominguez; & Juan M. Sanchez of Rancho Sanchez. I have
been known to portray a pleasant from time to time at Frontier events.
At various frontier events, I have been known to portray a store owner, a saloon bartender, a ranch owner, a
town local, a business man, or a frontier tenderfoot. I have been known to portray a pleasant
from time to time.

as Santa Barbara and Napono, south to Santa Ana in Orange County and San Diego in the County of
San Diego, and east to the Inland Empire in San Bernardino and Riverside.

The Year in Review
As part of the SoCal Volunteer event schedule, I protray Don Manuel Dominguez of the Rancho San Pedro in
Rancho Dominguez.
WEST has done several performance at the adobe for several years featuring the following programs: California
Living History Timeline The Dominguez Family Memories
While WEST does perform a frontier program, I portray various frontier personnel under the SoCal Volunteer
banner. I join members of other groups as they present their frontier programs.
Finally, once in awhile I do join the cavalry of the South at a few Civil War events. But since the group
as a whole portray the Blockade Runners at various Civil War events, the cavarly will have to wait for this soldier.
